The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the Honda Accord Sedan, Fit, Insight, CR-Z, Civic Sedan, Civic Hybrid, Civic Si Sedan, Civic Natural Gas, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline a "2012 Top Safety Pick." IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in front and side crash tests, a rollover test, and evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. To earn Top Safety Pick for 2012, a vehicle must have good ratings in all four Institute tests.

Honda has the great honor of having two of its cars named to Car and Driver's 10Best Cars list[3]. Both the Accord and the Fit boast multiple appearances on this esteemed list. In fact, 2011 marks the 25th time Accord has been included—a record unsurpassed by any other vehicle. And for the Fit, this is the fifth consecutive appearance.
The 2011 Honda CR-V, Accord and Fit were given the award for "Best Resale Value" by Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com[4].
Both the Honda Odyssey and Fit have been presented with 2012 ALG Residual Value Awards[5]. Residual value, (the value a car is predicted to retain over time), is a good barometer of a vehicle's overall quality. As Raj Sundaram from ALG states, "We have seen a strong focus this year on producing high-quality products with great pricing and packaging delivering real value for vehicle buyers."
The Civic Natural Gas, Civic Hybrid and Insight have been named some of the greenest vehicles of 2012 by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE). Learn more.
Honda has a long history of environmental leadership, including the introduction of America's first mass-produced hybrid, the Honda Insight, and the first vehicle to meet California's Low-Emission Vehicle standards, well in advance of regulatory requirements. Acknowledgment of our commitment to innovation can be seen by Honda's topping the rankings as the country's Greenest Automaker by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)—for the fifth time in a row[6].
